The Prep
- Exfoliating your skin before the session is so important. The fresh skin cells will form a smooth base that your spray tan will stick to. A good scrub and an exfoliating mitt will allow the elimination of all the dead skin cells and impurities on the body.
- Shaving/Waxing & exfoliating needs to be done at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
- Manicures/Pedicures need to be done before your appointment as well. We have a blending brush that will get rid of any overspray that might get on your freshly done nails!
- Do not have any lotion, oils or deodorant on your skin before you come in for your appointment! These products can leave a film and change the PH levels of your skin, and effect your results.
WHAT TO WEAR!
Wearing loose, long and dark clothes is recommended for after the session. Tight clothing can rub against the tan and remove the bronzer in some areas. Wear the comfiest clothes you can find!
The secret to achieving a flawless spray tan glow has everything to do with preparing your skin before the session and maintaining the tan after the session. We will give you after care cards that go into detail about what to do/ what not to do after you tan!
POST CARE
Proper aftercare is essential for color development and
Longevity.
FIRST 8-24 HOURS
- Avoid heavy sweating, workouts, and tight clothing
- Sleep in loose clothing
- Moisturize after first rinse
RINSE TIME
- Rinse in lukewarm water only
- No soap during first rinse unless instructed
- Pat skin dry with a towel
ONGOING CARE for spray tan
- Moisturize daily with an oil-free lotion
- Avoid exfoliating or scrubs
- Use gentle body wash
- Avoid long hot showers or baths
- No dove body wash
TO EXTEND YOUR TAN
- Moisturize morning & night
- Pat skin dry after showers
- Avoid chlorinated pools when possible
